Scotland
Located in the North part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain,
Scotland is a land rich in contrasts, and renowned across the
world for its diverse culture and art. From the calming peaks
of lush mountains to the energy of our cosmopolitan cities, Scotland
provides visitors with a wide variety of experiences. Clydebank
College is located in the vibrant town of Clydebank, which is
within the City of Glasgow Metropolitan area. The College is only
20 minutes travel from Glasgow City Centre, 15 minutes from Glasgow
International Airport, and 30 minutes from Loch Lomond, Scotland’s
first National Park. Glasgow’s public transport services
are efficient and not expensive. Also, the cost of living in the
Glasgow area can be considerably less than in other UK areas such
as London. In fact a recent survey by the Royal Bank of Scotland
concluded, “Glasgow offers the best balance of cheap, but
high quality living for students in the UK”.
Wang Nan 21 (Beijing) – “I wanted to study in the
UK and chose Scotland because of it’s beautiful countryside,
and also because it was inexpensive. I was looking for the right
college to choose and Clydebank College offered everything I wanted.
I studied English for two years and I am currently completing
and HND in Business. My goal is to gain a degree from a Scottish
University, and to work here for two years after my studies using
the’ Fresh Talent’ initiative.”

Teng Haibo 24 (Gang Xi) – “
I didn’t know what college to choose when I first thought
about studying in the UK, then my friend suggested that I try
Clydebank College, as he had studied English there. I was initially
worried about the culture change I would experience in Scotland,
but Clydebank College staff were very helpful and made me feel
at home. At present live I with a Scottish family which is great,
I feel at home here.”
Flexible Friends
Established in 1965, Clydebank College is a government funded
state college, with over 10 years experience of working with International
students. We can offer start date flexibility for many course
programmes. For English language programmes, you can start as
soon as you arrive, no matter at when that is within the academic
year. Similar flexibility is also available across a wide range
of our vocational course programmes.
Clydebank College has close connections with many of Scotland’s
top Universities including Edinburgh, Strathclyde, Paisley, Napier,
Dundee, Abertay and Glasgow Caledonian. We can therefore provide
you with excellent progression routes to gain your University
degree. By completing English Language studies and an HND many
of our International Students further their education by entering
2nd or 3rd year at University. By going through this route, overall
course costs for a UK University degree can be up to 25% less
expensive* than direct University entry from year 1.
Fresh Talent
Scotland has a unique government policy called ‘Fresh Talent’
Initiative. This versatile policy will allow international students
to work in Scotland for 2 years following graduation from a Scottish
University. This outstanding opportunity exists only in Scotland,
providing you with a head start to successfully achieving your
career goals.
Qu Feng 24 (Shenyang) – “ My friend studied at Clydebank
