You can enjoy living
in Arizona |
|
Students
enrolling here are able to complete the first two years of an undergraduate
bachelors degree program in a setting dedicated to quality teaching
in small classes. Students receive individual attention from instructors
while utilizing advanced technology - all at a cost considerably
less than larger four year institutions. Moreover, Glendale Community
College maintains a close working relationship with all of the major
state-supported universities in Arizona, making transfer to those
larger institutions easy and convenient.
The citizens
of Arizona are noted for their friendliness toward newcomers and
for their enjoyment of the beautiful outdoor scenery of their state.
In fact, Arizona’s exquisite natural beauty, including the Grand
Canyon, makes it a favorite vacation destination for Americans as
well as tourists from all over the world. The sunny climate and
favorable employment opportunities all add to the dynamic magnetism
of the “Valley of the Sun”.

What is a community
College? |
|
Community
colleges offer several kinds of programs
of interest to international students:
More
Americans are enrolled in community colleges than in any other
type of higher education institution. Community colleges offer
the first two years of a normal four-year bachelor’s degree program.
Thus, students who attend a community college can prepare themselves
to transfer to a four-year institution by completing the lower
division courses in the community college instead of in the university.
