Welcome to the website of the HES School of Economics and Business, the International Department of the Hogeschool van Amsterdam. You are about to make one of the most important decisions of your life: the choice of what and where to study! Studying with us means preparing for an important career. With our truly international programmes, you can travel extensively whilst developing your personal and business skills.
Studying abroad and in-company work experience are quintessential parts of he programmes. You may choose to graduate with our bachelor (Hons.) degree after four years, or to apply for the Double-Degree Programme, which includes a degree from one of our specially selected partner institutes in France, Germany, the UK, Mexico, Spain and Sweden. This gives you a wider range of future employment possibilities.
 We are confident that our direct-learning approach will enable you to develop your understanding of the link between business practice and theory throughout the four-year courses. You will also find that working in small, project-based teams with students from many different countries and cultures is great fun. The school offers specially designed international programmes taught in English. We look forward to welcoming you to Amsterdam and its HES School of Economics and Business.

Business Intelligence Management
This is a programme that prepares you for the new ICT environment you will face as a Manager. Business Intelligence is about pro-active recognition, collecting and processing relevant information about customers and prospective customers, about management information and data warehousing. This is a four year programme at Bachelor (Hons.) Degree level.

International Business and Management Studies
The main objective of the IBMS department is to prepare students for an international business career in middle and higher management positions. This leads to a Bachelor (Hons.) Degree in International Management. Studying with us means preparing for an important career in commerce, entrepreneurship and marketing. Our truly international programme offers the possibility of extensive travel whilst developing your personal and business skills.

The main objective of the IFM Department is to prepare students for a managerial job at an advanced level in multinational environments; an international business career in middle and higher executive positions. This leads to a BA Degree in Business Administration. Job opportunities include, for instance, Accountant, Accounting Manager, Banker, Cash Manager, Controller, Export Manager, Financial Analyst, Financial Manager, Stock Broker or Tax Consultant, Treasurer.
