Hopwood
Hall College
is situated
in Middleton,
Greater Manchester
in the North
West of England.
It was formed
in 1990 as
a result of
the amalgamation
of three local
colleges and
a number of
local sixth
forms.
Hopwood
Hall college
is organised
into six distinct
schools including
the Ashworth
Sixth Form
centre, a Business
School, the
Schools of
Art, Design
and Technology;
Sports, Leisure
and Catering;
Health, Social
Care, Image
and Early Years
and Continuing
and Community
Education.
There are 2,500
full time students
at the college
and many more
part time students.
There are sports
facilities
such as a sports
hall and a
fitness gym
at the college
and a new sports
hall is scheduled
for completion
in 2002. 
The
college offers
a wide range
of courses
including A-levels,
GCSEs, vocational
qualifications
(GNVQs) and
other pathways
leading to
Higher Education.
Subject areas

Information
Technology,
English, Art,
Science, Mathematics
and Humanities.
Vocational
