MOSCOW STATE UNIVERSITY OF CIVIL ENGINEERING
 
Moscow State University of Civil Engineering (MGSU) is one of the leading Higher Educational Civil Engineering Institutions in Russia since 1921. Until 1993 it was known under the name of Moscow Civil Engineering Institute (MISI) and gained a high reputation all over the world as educational and building science center. In its more than 80-year long history the University has trained more than 80 000 civil engineers, who achieved high positions in construction in Russia and overseas. The University has 61 Departments with 1300 teaching staff, including 65 Full and Corresponding Members of Russian and International Academies of Science, 17 ICE Fellows and Members, 130 Dr.Sc. and 700 PhD, 140 Professors and Associate Professors, providing high quality of education. In spring 1999 the University successfully obtained International Accreditation at MEng level and the Recognition Certificate from The Institution of Civil Engineers and The Institution of Structural Engineers (London).

Since 1946 the University has been training specialists for foreign countries. Since that time more than 2900 representatives from 97 Eastern, South Eastern, African, South and Latin America and European countries have already taken certain courses of studies at our University.   • Heat transmission, Gas Supply & Ventilation.

  • Management in Construction.
  • Building Materials Engineering.
  • Mechanical & Production Engineering of Buildings Materials Industry.
  • Economy and Control in Construction.

Taught BSc (4 years) and MSc (2 years) programmes:

The University runs PhD and Dr. Sc programs in 20 scientific specialities.

There is also an education centre for providing continuing education programmes.

Russian Language Courses for overseas citizens:

  • Normal Course with terms of education from 1 to 10 months in groups from 5 to 10 persons (200 USD/month).
  • Activities – Russian Language with Culture & Sports Programs (280 USD/month).

Courses are classified on level (beginners, middle and advanced), duration, intensity (from 10 to 50 hours pro week), number of persons in tutorial groups (individual studies are available). The cost of education includes a comfortable hostel and visa support.
